Backcountry Adventure & Mountain Expeditions: Scholarships for trans Adventurers

The Compass Collective offers a series of backcountry adventure & mountain expedition scholarships to help increase gender equity in outdoor adventure; these scholarships are for trans adventurers, including transfeminine, transmasculine, gender-queer, non-binary, Two-Spirit, gender fluid, and beyond.

Each scholarship recipient typically receives full coverage of their expedition fee as well as top-notch outdoor gear from our program supporters.

The Compass Collective Scholarship Program was made possible by the dedicated volunteer work from invested community members. The program was ultimately paused due to a lack of community participation, institutional resources and funding.
