2025 Compass Collective Scholarship Details
The Compass Collective Scholarship program offers a series of mountaineering & adventure stipends to help break down the barriers to entry to outdoor adventure for trans adventurers individuals including transfeminine, transmasculine, gender-queer, non-binary, Two-Spirit, gender fluid, and beyond. Mountaineering and backcountry adventures can be a transformative experience for all who partake, yet there are many barriers of entry preventing the participation of members of marginalized genders.
That's why the Alliance for Gender Equity in Outdoor Adventure (GEA Alliance) has created The Compass Collective Scholarship Program: for all of us to dream big together. Let’s have an adventure!

All those are welcome to apply who identify as trans or a non-cis gender identity. You have to be 18 or older to apply, but there is no upper age limit for applicants. There is no residency or citizenship requirement to apply.
To be considered for The Compass Collective Scholarship, simply complete a few demographic questions and a couple of short essays during our application window.

Applications are accepted from December 22, 2024 to February 20th, 2025
Scholarship recipients are announced in late March 2025
Scholarship expeditions & adventures take place throughout the remainder of 2025
